I’ve just come out of the army.
It was tough, it was great, it was an unmissable experience. But now it’s time for me to breathe, have fun, see the world.
So, South America, particularly Peru, here I come.
While I was in the army, I was happy to come home whenever I was on leave, and get my washing done and most of all enjoy my Mum’s wonderful cooking. Dov, my best buddy from my unit, has an apartment in Florentine, North Tel Aviv, and we’re planning this trip together. He has also offered me to leave home, and share his apartment so that I can really step out into the big wide world.
I went to discuss this with my parents who informed me much to my shock, that they were downsizing and had decided to move to the city, to a small apartment which would put them close to all the theatres and concert halls.
OK, I thought, that sounds nice, but once I had got over the shock,
I started to think how that could affect me. In their present house I have a big piano, my surf-board, my outboard motor, and my most precious possession, my Harley-Davidson. What on earth was going to happen to it if they no longer had a garage where I could store it safely and all my other gear? Dov, who knows everything about everything immediately came up with a solution.
“What you need” he said “is a small space, somewhere that you can safely store your stuff”.
I pointed out to him that I didn’t have that much and didn’t most of these places expect you to store an entire home? He soon set me straight.”
Absolutely not, he said “contact Ribua Storage, and they are the perfect people to deal with when you have either a whole house or just a few items that need storage. It’s the perfect solution. Just because your parents are downsizing, you definitely don’t want to get rid of all the things you love, that you may use and enjoy when we come back from our travels.
You only need a small amount of storage space but you need to be sure that your things are being well looked after”.
So, I called them and the pleasant helpful Manager gave me all the lowdown.
They would send the movers to my parent’s house, everything would be wrapped up professionally depending on what it was (I was very worried about my Harley), everything would be appropriately insured (same worries about the Harley) and after all that, I actually only needed a relatively small space to store all my worldly treasures, and thus the price was much less than I expected.
I told them that I may be travelling for a year, or even more, and they worked out a great deal for me. And of course, when I get back, I can take whatever I like out of storage as and when I need it, or keep it there for as long as I like.
Thank you Ribua.
Macchu Picchu here I come!
