You never think about storage centers until you need one. You never really know where they are located as they are not necessarily in the most obvious locations, nor on main roads. So, when we decided to move house, I realized that we needed to check out where the nearest and best storage centers were.
What matters when you are choosing storage for all your worldly possessions?
What are the most important considerations?
Well, after having done a lot of research as to what is available in Israel and what is not, I have decided that the most important thing is LOCATION. It may seem obvious but it’s so much more convenient to have all your goods stored within, let’s say 15 minutes’ drive from your home. Why?
So if you do decide that there is something you need and want to retrieve it from storage, depending on the size, you can go and get it yourself. Similarly, if you need to add something that was forgotten, or some other family member suddenly decides they want to put something in storage or take possession of that beautiful old grand piano that you didn’t have room for, then something nearby is obviously so much better than the hassle of driving for an hour to get there, or even just to take some measurements
Secondly, service. How efficient is the company? Are they friendly and understanding?
Will they work with me and understand that my needs may change at the last moment?
Do they speak English which makes life so much easier for new residents and even for old ones who are still trying to master our beautiful but quite difficult language?
Will they turn up when they promise to? Will they keep to the times they suggested?
Will they keep to the estimate?
And finally talking about money, do they give value for money?
I am not looking for the cheapest storage center in Israel. There are plenty of old cow sheds, situated miles away and probably a bit cheaper, but I’m not looking for the cheapest deal, but the best deal. And on all of these questions, Ribua comes out on top. Value for money sums up how I would describe Ribua, and I’ve now used this storage company three times.

Secondly, how is their service? Well, I now talk from experience, that having tried one or two other companies, Ribua is by far and away the best. Yes, they are friendly and understanding. Yes, they work with you, – to give you an example, when I received a phone call from the Italian kitchen shippers that there had been delays in the port, Ribua were completely reasonable about the fact that my new kitchen was going to be delivered one week later than expected. It meant that they couldn’t move all our stuff on the selected day, otherwise we would have been living without a kitchen for a week! They would have kept to the timing arrangement but I was the one that had to change it. They kept all of their promises, and YES, they speak English which is an enormous advantage (for me anyway!)
Finally, I checked out all the competition. As I said, I was looking for the best deal. And for a storage center that gives you everything they you need, Ribua is that. Not the cheapest but the best. The best value, and that is all we can really ask for. So if location is the most important, where are Ribua branches?
There are all very conveniently located, two in Petach-Tikva, one in Hayetsira Street, and one in Aharon Bart Street.
There is another branch in Central Tel-Aviv, in Carlebach Street, and the fourth storage center is in Holon, on Professor Moshe Schorr Street. And by the way, all have great parking facilities, so that is one less problem when you are making your way around.
